Wedding Wishing Well and Bridal Registry

Terms & Conditions

The Gift Table website (www.thegifttable.com.au) is owned and operated by Jessica Hunter T/as The Gift Table (ABN 34389099078). By using our service, website, or by clicking on " I have read and accept the terms and conditions” on the website, you are accepting the terms and conditions stated below.

MANAGING YOUR LIST
You can manage your wedding list at any time through your web login. Functionality includes adding / removing gifts that are listed on our website. You also have the ability to view purchases by guests. Requests to add additional items not already listed on our website will incur a $100.00 charge, although some exceptions apply.

PRICES
In line with the major Australian department stores, all gifts are at the recommended retail price (RRP). The RRPs change frequently, and we reserve the right to adjust our pricing accordingly, without prior notification. This includes products that have already been placed on a registry, but which have not yet been delivered.

All prices include GST.
Bridal couples are offered a 10% discount on any additional gifts they would like to purchase from their list. This excludes part payment of gifts. This is offered at the conclusion of the event (wedding) date and once the registry has been closed to guests. This is offered to legitimate registrations only and not to couples only registering their wedding for the 10% discount.

The Giving Tree has nominal fees for couples $79 for set up and guest purchases of $5.00, see more on the Giving Tree page.

Set up fees of $79 are charged to the couple for the administration of the Donations Registry. Guests are charged a transaction fee of $5.00.

If the couple has chosen to have their gifts wrapped, a further $4 charge will also be payable by the purchaser.

Service fees cannot be removed from a list, or refunded to a couple or their guests

Large items such as furniture or whitegoods may require separate delivery and will not be gift wrapped, even if a wrapping fee has been charged.

CREDIT
Any credit you have available at the time of closing your list is valid for 12 months from the closing date.

DELIVERY
The Gift Table aims to deliver all gifts to the bridal couple at a time, date and location agreed with them.

Because we custom-order your gifts especially for you, it takes up to 6-8 weeks for us to receive everything from our various suppliers and if required, a second delivery will occur about 4 weeks later. Occasionally, due to supply issues outside our control (such as postal service or courier terms), some items may take longer to be delivered. We will do our best to ensure your delivery is on the requested date however please note that your requested date must be at least 2 weeks after the closure of your registry to ensure the majority of gifts are received from the suppliers. Second deliveries may be posted depending on the number of gifts. Large/heavy items (requiring two deliverymen - eg furniture, rugs etc) will be delivered directly to you from the supplier Mon-Fri during normal business hours.

Items that have been delivered may not be exchanged or returned unless damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied by The Gift Table. Written notification of any damaged or incorrect items must be provided within 5 days of delivery/collection.

DELIVERY CHARGES
There is no charge to the bridal couple for delivery to most Australian states. For NT, TAS and SA / QLD / WA regional deliveries, couples will incur an extra per carton charge. Refer to 'Delivery of your gifts' within your Couple Login for more details. Large/heavy items may incur an additional charge in which event you will be advised at time of delivery. A nominal guest charge is added per order for service and delivery. If incorrect address details are provided or not updated, you will be charged for the second delivery.

For couples outside our normal delivery zone, we suggest that you wait until all your gifts have arrived before arranging a single delivery, to minimize the extra delivery fees that may apply. We will contact you prior to delivery to confirm what you would prefer.

Please note that store credit cannot be used to pay for delivery fees.

GIFT DISCONTINUATIONS
As with fashion items, Homewares are becoming more seasonable and our suppliers have to regularly change their product ranges.

Occasionally, gifts that you choose for your registry may no longer be available. This is no different to the major department stores, where changes to stock from discontinuations regularly occur.

Should this occur, the following will happen:
(a) you will be advised by The Gift Table within 48 hours of your guest purchasing the item;
(b) The Gift Table will contact the bride and or groom to discuss the selection of an alternative gift or you can choose to credit towards other gifts on the registry
(c) Cash refunds will not be given under any circumstances; and
(d) The Gift Table will not notify wedding guests who have purchased discontinued or unavailable items that the item has been changed or exchanged for a store credit.

Exchange

The Gift Table orders items from its suppliers as they are purchased from each list. This allows us to deliver the gifts as soon as possible after the wedding. If the bridal couple receives a duplicate item due to a guest purchasing it elsewhere, The Gift Table will not allow an exchange because we do not hold stock as everything has been ordered especially for you. Guests who purchase gifts from The Gift Table may not obtain a refund if they change their minds. This is because we order items from our suppliers specifically for each couple as purchases are made.

If a guest believes he/she has purchased something in error, he/she should contact The Gift Table immediately.

Orders
The purchaser will be charged for the goods or services when they complete an order with The Gift Table. Service fees will also be payable at this time. The Gift Table may not accept orders placed if:
- authorisation for your payment is not available; or
- we identify a significant pricing or product description error.
We will attempt to contact the purchaser (and/or the bridal couple if appropriate) to resolve the issue. The bridal couple will be able to view information relating to purchases completed at any time, via the website. After a registry is closed, the bridal couple may exchange the value of any part-payments made towards gifts (i.e. where an item has been split into shares but not all shares have been purchased) for any other products in our range. Fully purchased items cannot be exchanged.
